I agree!! I realize having an a990 is super valuable. But I would still drive it as often as I could. Those that know me see me in my 65 coronet whenever the weather is fit. And I put miles on it!! I decided who cares if it has excessive miles. I bought it to drive. If you don’t want to drive the expensive car I get it. do yourself a favor buy a 4 door and buld a hot rod out of it!!! you’ll have more fun !!!

Life's to short not to enjoy the fruits of your labor. If you build it, drive it like you stole it. You built it for a reason, to enjoy it. I could never have a car that that I could drive on the road. A990, hemi Cuda, makes no difference. Enjoying it is to drive it, if we worried about everything in life that could happen to us, we would never leave our bullet proof house. Just saying.

Unlike you, I have never been down the track in anything other than my friend's vehicle used to tow his alcohol funny car. Maybe one of these days I will have something to take down the track, but it won't be my A990 Belvedere.

People say "don't you want to race it, or at least drive it on the street"? I say I would love to take it down the track, and drive it on the street, but I am going to have too much $$$ wrapped up in it to risk it being damaged. And if it gets damaged, it is virtually impossible to find original parts, without having to spend your life's savings.

The important thing is that you continue to have fun with your Coronet.

Might even take to Bradenton for a run down the track if my health prevails.
