John
We Goldenfinners are industrious!
I also bleed my own brakes,,except for maybe the right rear.
John Paxos usually helps me with that one. But I always have a new TURKEY BASTER ready to use!
I bleed them every year to remove any kooties and moisture by the cylinders.
I use DOT 3
Easy on the rubber,,but it does absorb H2O

Ed and Brian:
I too use a turkey baster. It is a bit tedious, but it works. I
also bleed the brakes by myself, so I know it can be done.
