Location: Hershey PA | Looked at a 1956 Chrysler St Regis at the Hershey Car Corral
Fully restored, AACA Junior and Senior winner, asking $49.500
Car is black top/red upper body/white lower body
Seller said there were 12 available color combinations for the St Regis. Is that true? I can get 6 combinations out of red/white/black, was there another 3 color choice available?
Seller also said that the red for black/red/white was different than the one for black/white/red???? |

Location: Lubbock, TX | I was pretty sure you could get any color combination possible? I mean, special ordered of course. Sounds more like a seller trying to talk up their car to make it appear more rare and valuable.
I mean, if you want to talk about rare cars, I have an all original 1956 Chrysler St Regis that was special ordered with almost every option and XXX trim options, so anything is possible.

Why does this one have an Imperial Front clip? That was an option?

Interesting. Your's has the Imperial/300B Grill but the New Yorker front marker/signal lights and bumper. It looks like there were three different bumpers in addition to three different types of marker/signal lights.

Too bad this photo doesn't show more sides like the St. Regis Brochure rendering (with the midget driving)

I saw that one in your WPC Tacoma photos. Beautiful. I think the 56 St. Regis is my favourite FL car. Period.
Lucky guy.

| My St. Regis is Stardust Blue/Cloud White/Mediterranean Blue. I think it's interesting that the whole car is painted Stardust, then masked off to paint the whole lower white, so from the white on down, she's all three colors. |

And therefore you need to post a photo of your lovely car.

Location: Victoria, BC, on Vancouver Island, Canada | Re - the one with the Imperial front end and interior - unless the current owner has additional documentation,
this car was discussed here a number of years ago when it was on an auction, and at that time Chrysler Historical
could not verify it had been built that way from factory.
Here is the discussion thread on the car from 2013

Odd that the same image used in the 2011 sale at the beginning of that topic is used again here.
Doctor DeSoto, this sounds like a job for Buck Futz! A singing telegram should reach him, even if he's in the wild on another Spam hunt.

I believe Buck gets his correspondence forwarded by Señor Analyst of the SDBB (who also serves as his official translator ), so send a hard copy en español, por favor.
