I am reinstalling the pushbutton cable back into Powerflite. What keeps the transmission fluid from coming out of the hole that accepts the cable? I have completely disassembled two cars to make one. I can't remember the answer to this.

The cable has an O-ring at the transmission end and the sheath around the cable needs to be intact, not ripped.
