In a PM to MIZ Paula Hale, I asked her: "Is it true that Mr. Coddington, et al, will not clean up Virgil
(as we know him, from his designer: Virgil Exner) before FRI nite, and, hopefully on SAT, too, when
we-all can get a GOOD up-close look at him (which is why we-all are COMING to Tulsa---LOLOL)???"

MIZ Hale's reply is :" I am positive that he will not be cleaning it up, and, yes, you will be able to
get up close."

Hoorrah!

WWWWWWAAAAAAAAAHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
That is to kool this means hopefully we wont even have to look at that goofy looking wish he could build a rod dork that will make my trip perfect maybe, LOL Thank you Paula. Oh how close will we be able to get to the Belvie, close enought to look under her into the interior and into the engine bay, but all with out touching her of coarse, or like a couple of feet away be cause most of us know where to look for signs of rust my interest is going nuts I do believe that this Plymie will be in sweet condition.

We will have to put some stanchions around Miss Belvedere because not everyone in the general public is as knowledgable as you all are about historic cars. I still think you will be able to see much of what you will want. Close by, we will also have the contents of the Time Capsule and whatever else we find in the vault that might have been thrown in at the last minute.

Thanx, Paula! I'm pretty sure, that if we ask/grovel sufficiently, that the nice uniformed/armed guards will allow us to
approach the car, fior a close inspection/photography.

I know that I am interested in seeing its undercarriage, and trunk (factory over-spray, you know!) "finish-work", as most
"restorers" just blast-away, with solid-paint, on those areas, instead of replicating the misting-over-spray which the
factory did-do (as it/they did not care about the appearance of those hidden/inaccessible areas!!!) , rather hap-hazardly!!!

The engine comopartment finish, & the door-jamb areas will also be interesting to observe!

and, THEN: there's the door-jamb areas, AND the general-level/quality of the exterior paintwork !!!!

I'm with you on this Neil. I sure hope we can get close enough to the car to see close-up-and-personal areas of detail that we restorers SO want to see. I would be prepared to pay for the priviledge...!
By the way, how's this for an amazing coincidence? There is, in New Zealand this weekend, our National HotRod Show... sponsored by Boyd Coddington. We have to be at the airport on Saturday to check-in 3 hours before departure, so we are going to check out the show in between checking in and flying to USA. It is only 10 minutes from the airport.
Glenn.

Oh, I GET it, Glenn: The Boydster's "coming" (not) to New Zealand, to see YOU, so, you're gonna go to TULSA, to see HIM!

Be sure to say "hi", for me!
