Expert 5K+ Posts: 5033 ![]() ![]() | hmm the turquoise is kind of growing on me... i looked at it again and asked some random people and they didn't mind it... I think i need to two tone it with dark green on top of the dash (like it should be) and two tone the seats.

And that interior color stands out for sure...that`s good isn`t it?

Expert Posts: 3577 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: Blythewood, SC | It is not my car, and the work you have done has been great. But the turquoise on the interior never seemed right to me. I'm not throwing stones because the car is beautiful.

Expert 5K+ Posts: 5033 ![]() ![]() | basically eliminating the turqoise(only lower dash)... using the dark green... replaced the power steering gear... that was a pita Got to put the new leaf springs also... Took a load to the chromer, Antenna bases, front headlight drivers side , front upper bumper bar(long one), and two rear fender teeth.. he said 500-600$ for that.

Expert 5K+ Posts: 5033 ![]() ![]() | started the trim color change... I am almost thinking you could chrome the interior trim with chrome wrap and it would look pretty darn good. the roof is not a full blown turquiouse but a greener turquise color so I want to keep that as the turquoise is the off color to the green/blue accent. I will cover the seats in dark green leather next winter i guess. I will run the black this year.

Expert 5K+ Posts: 5033 ![]() ![]() | New power steering rack is working (it's the big Chrysler one... working good so far.) I have the top of the dash color changed and I will do the package tray today... Off to BMV soon to get the title changed over to me. I still have a little bit of "turquoise" on the bottom of dash(ack), I may finish the killing of it... later though. Starts right up and this thing moves... Going to work on putting windows in it today.
need to get some emblems/trimon this asap... its naked.. Waiting 3 months on the some chrome parts to get done... jesus Edited by mikes2nd 2023-08-20 3:15 PM (PXL_20230819_231518497.jpg) Attachments ---------------- ![]()

Power allows you to move the seat up and its a tight squeeze to get in the back but it works. I may have the passenger side move farther forward. Okay power steering swap to the saginaw kit... I think the guy has checked out... but the kit is pretty easy to make... i saw the C body thread. Saginaw pump, a 1/4 inch plate. He included power steering lines that don't work, so i bought some new ones off Summit and i needed a double pulley. I use the HotHead hemis front timing cover and the sagainaw bracket and it fit perfectly no spacers needed. (PSbracket.jpg) (powerSteering.jpg) Attachments ---------------- ![]() ![]()

Expert 5K+ Posts: 5033 ![]() ![]() | final hurdle for power steering conversion... btw this a 79 Ford F150 steering gear... They run about 350$ from rockauto. Finally got all the right adapters and made my own power steering line. I'm not using many parts from the kit so thats kind of annoying but hey... I converted the pressure line to AN 6 also. Plenty of room though. I am just ever so slightly off so need a small shim behind the bracket and im good to go, I can hook it up and start bleeding the system, the move to the column finishing and the car back up and running.
