Still being built. I think it's pretty cool. I'm sure some will hate it, that's fine...

The only acceptable look would have been a '57-59 D-100 sweptline box, but that would have been a DOUBLE waste! Those Buick tail lamps are lame. Too bad the GM cab, but they probably had an extra one.

The whole thing is ghastly.

Well, I'd have it... but I'd much prefer to see Exner's A-pillars on there, they are the best A-pillars of the era...

What is there under that hood? One would hope it's not stuck with a Nailhead!

why do people see the need to butcher '61 plyms? i dont really mind the front/ elcamino idea, but the back looks like BS! it is still a stupid waste and ill be even more infuriated if the front clip came from a Sub... adriana

Looks like something Kenny J would do to one of his extra Ch3vy pick up's.

Hey Kenny, why didn't you think of this? Graft one of yer extry '59 Ply clips, then graft one of yer '59 Ch3vy rear clips to the bed,,,,,. Whoo-Haw!

I have too much respect for Mopars and Buicks to do that.

The '60-'66 Chevrolet/GMC trucks look good enough to me as built. Remember, the '60-'62s pickups used Mopar style torsion bars!

Remember the guy who did the same thing to a '64-'66 Chevrolet pickup using '60 or '61 Chrysler body parts?

I like this thing! It's different and its a cool looking ride. I think it is fairly well preportioned and thought out and it only uses some basic left over front sheet metal probably from a parts car that was goin to be scrapped anyway, I'd love to have this as my shop truck just the way it is, or maybe with some metal flake candy color, a golden commando under the hood, a set of chrome reversed rims with spiders or lancer flippers, a chrysler astrodome instument cluster, and a sparlkly square plymy steering wheel, a pair of swivel seats, and a p/b t-flyte! YEEHA I 'd be the space Cowboy from Hell!!! well may be only on this sight! Ps I ve got an entire front clip for a 61 in the back shed And im starting to get creative ideas!

There's nothing wrong with customizing, or creating something different. In this case, he/she is a long ways away from a completed unit. So, it's hard to draw any conclusions based on what we see here. I would suspect that this project will undergo many alterations/changes of direction before it's done. So, casting judgement at the point on this person's project is pointless, premature, and unfair to say the least. My only word of caution to this person, is if you really want to avoid pissing of the Mopar crowd put a Mopar mill under the hood. Otherwise many more may find this project unacceptable based solely on what's under the hood...

I like it! Different taillights would help alot, but it still looks to be in the developmental stage. Would make a cool parts runner and would keep the bench racers scratching their heads!

The greenhouse is far too tall to be proportionately acceptable. How will the GM body lines be milded into the front clip?

What does it have, a Plymouth wagon payload? 500 lbs, maybe? Worthless.

To me, it looks exactly what it is: A Plymouth clip on a GM body. Yuck.

Danny-- I am not talking about the lines on the Plymie, I am talking about the GMC lines. Did you notice that they just stop at the Plymie clip? How is that addressed, or isnt it since this is such a hack-job?

I knew exactly what you meant.

I'm figuring he kinda knows what he's doing since he-

chopped the roof 3.5"
sectioned the body 1.25" above the body line and another 4.25" at the rocker
added '59 Chev rear bumper up front, and a '60 Chev wagon rear bumper in rear
added '62 Buick tail lights

and it's all on a '84 Chev wagon frame with a SBC and 200-4R (just found that out)

Hey he's not asking you to drive it around!

chopped the roof 3.5"

I don't see where he chopped the top. Especailly 3 1/2"
The roof lines, rear/front glass height, looks the same to the stock truck sittin' beside it.

Now this is a perfect example of mismatched styling, what were those aussie engineers thinking??? early fifties roof turret, and late fifties front and rear end styling. Now I am a pretty open minded car person and have total respect for all other types, models and body styles etc, I ve even owned a few of these royals over the years but theses were ugly as hell when new and still are today and make me physically sick every time I see one!!! however this model in my opinion is best represented in the custom coach built hearse body style which i think looks pretty cool! all others should be taken to the locall demo derby figure 8 and ...... you know..... alright cast those stones, this is only my opinion, and I really dont give a stuff what anyone else thinks as far as im concirned they look like a pregnant ****roach!!!
