We're gonna try starting the 57 Chrysler New Yorker this weekend. The current battery is dead and not the correct battery for that car.
What was the correct original battery for that car? I figgured that since I have to get one I may as well get the CORRECT one. Thanks.

It all depends on "How Correct" you wanna be. There is a Mopar battery on Ebay even with the green caps.
Price????? $500 + Shipping.
That's a lil too Pure for my blood, and besides it would clash with my Red engine

What ever battery you buy, you should have it hooked to a charger whilst ya doing all that cranking
easier on a new battery.

I believe it's a group 34 battery, but almost any top terminal battery will fit. Lots of room there.

Any Interstate battery dealer will be able to get you the correct size. For the matter any Sears store should be able to do so.......................

I'd go with a premium group 27 battery.

I always go way bigger than I will ever need when it comes ot batteries.....If It calls for a 700 CCA battery, it's gettin' a 1000 CCA battery...If it calls for a 1000 CCA battery, it's gettin the biggest up from it..
