I have a closed breather and PCV valve from an early '60s 361 or 383. These are the type that press into the valve cover pipes in place of the open breather and road draft tube.

If there is adequate flow through these, could I use them on a Poly 318 that originally came with a road draft tube? I remember some of you noting that a PCV system keeps the oil cleaner between changes. Or something to that effect.

K.

KENNY------there are 2 types of breathers that are possible to use---push in and push over------they both will work but the push over gives a more cleaner look as it sits lower than the push in------the photo i'm giving is the correct fit-push over that fits the same as our down tube did------it's for a 426-year i don't remember but the valve i'm going to use is for the early engines-i think from 61-67------as for the filler cap i'll be using the stock for now until i find something a little more fancy(chrome)------here is also the link to the pages of the discussion where PANIC explains it all------if i can dig up a good photo of the pcv set with the pushin-i'll post that to and you can see that it sits HI but at the time i wanted my engine running so that is what i went with as a temp. fix--------------later

Spanky! What did you do with the push in PVC valve I gave you off a older B 383 that was sitting in the back of the garage?
