According to the captions, the red 58 Firesweep convertible is an Adventurer !

I would think the NDC would be a little more on top of their game than that.

I find it remarkable - given the quantity of them we see on this site - that there was not a
single 57 or 58 Plymouth ! Shocking !!!!

Here's some more pictures from the show. The '59 Sweptside was about the best restoration of one of these trucks I've seen.

I enjoyed seeing "your" head almost as much as I think you enjoyed finding/getting it. And if you ever decide to make a mold off of it and repop it, I'll be at the "head" of the line.

I've had a good time going through that box of "stuff" from that little obscure dealer in Iowa. I've tossed about 2/3 of it - bills from suppliers that had no identifiable connection to anything Chrysler, but the rest of it has been entertaining, enlightening and educational.

For anybody else reading this post, the box contained quite the Heinz57 assortment of factory to dealer invoices, shipping info and other such stuff - albeit too early for FWLookers. Late '46 to early/mid '53. All Plymouth & DeSoto, no Chrysler or Dodge. Once I get the info organized by VIN, I'll look up emails for Les Pesavento and Jim Benjaminson and email them the list of VINS. If by some chance someone actually owns one of these cars, I'll pass on the relevant material to the current owners.

Thoroughly enjoyed your seminar and am quite in awe of the skills you've developed to do what you do.

Too bad the Saturday night banquet people were totally lacking in any culinary skill.....

For now the head is going to be hanging in my workshop for a while someday I might get a wild hair and pull a mold off it but not soon I have too many other things to do!
That box of stuff has been on my shelf for years. I always had the intent of going through it but never found the time. I am sure there is some interesting material in there? It would be very impressive to get someone their original manufacturers statement of origin paperwork. I don't think I would toss the non mopar stuff. I remember seeing a couple of Studebaker pieces maybe the Stude guys might find those useful?

I am glad that the seminar was so well taken and hope someone makes good use of it!

I also snagged some goodies from "that little fella from Iowa". A very nice guy and all 'round good egg!

I got a totally FAB FL, locking gas cap that fits my Desoto, and a leather key fob that has the Desoto logo stamped into it, and a nifty Chrysler tie pin thingy.

I also quite enjoyed the seminar as it related to my art school experiences with molds and casting bronzes, and now I think that someday I might just give molding car parts a try!

Lots of good info during your presentation, and might I add that your patience was rather impressive.

I enjoyed talking Firemites with you during the convention! (I GOTTA get a Firemite one of these days!)

That Desoto head was amazing...beautiful work by Mark(?) I think it was? Not sure if folks can tell from the photos, but it is about 2-1/2 to 3 feet across?

There were invoices from other brand dealers in town or nearby that sold something to the PD dealer, but other than the logo on the top of the invoices themselves, there's really no useful information. A quantity, a part number and sometimes (but not always) a price. No indication of what the part was for, or even if it was a car part.

The stuff is still here - recycle day is next Tuesday, so if anybody wants any of this stuff I'm tossing, it's yours for the postage.
