I was recently going through old photos and saw some I had taken at Spencer's in Comfort TX back in 2005. This junkyard was well known for having many FL cars and parts. My understanding is these cars are long gone now. More pics here: http://s13.photobucket.com/user/46Tbird/library/Spencers05

Please share any other pics you have of cars in junkyards!

Thanks for posting these, Burb !

I'm pretty sure I visited this yard the last time I was in Austin. But by then, all that remained was a sign. All the cars were gone.

Yep, thanks from me too for posting up these pics , I love these junk yard pics , sorta sad to see 'em sitting there rusting away but I've always had a fascination for old cars in junkyards and discarded old cars on farms etc even from when I was a kid I would wander through old car cemeteries around my local area and ponder about who owned this car or that and what would it have looked like new ,............ that sort of stuff.

I often jump on John's website ( Big M ) here http://www.bigmauto.com/ and look at all his pics especially the arty night shot pics in this link from his website here

http://www.takenpictures.com/BigM/index.php

Unfortunately I don't have any pics of my own, might be able to find some on the web when I find 'em to add to these at a later date.....

Here are some that I took at a local yard, Browne and Sons in Sunset TX, back in 2008.

They had a lot of FL cars, mostly '55-56. And quite a few interesting non-FLs as well.

For 1957 DeSoto lovers, my website has 3 pages of junkyard dog pictures. Here's the main page, from which you can choose the "junkyard dog" pictures: http://www.angelfire.com/de/petrus/index.html

Just stumbled upon these pictures on Flickr. I have no idea where that yard is, but I think the 1958 Chrysler wagon is a pretty rare vehicle, no?

Quite rare. Some production figures are here.

I believe I see the remnants of the rear facing seat, making this one of 775 NY'er 9-pass wagons.

It's also well trimmed with a roof rack, roof trim, and power rear window. Neat car, too bad there's not much left of it.

The owner of this yard absolutely refuses to sell to me these cars because of where they are located in the yard

there is another 57 Plaza sitting to the left of this one.

58 DeSotos Rule, thanks for the tip! I'm a "pennypincher", so my Angelfire web site was chosen because it's FREE to me, but (sorry!) they do hit you with one or 2 pop-up ads to offset their costs. The space there is limited, and I filled it up. My Angelfire pages link to another free web page provider, 150m.com I don't know if that supplier is experiencing difficulties, has dissolved, or what, but I also cannot log onto those pages, OR into the administrative pages I use to set up my site. For now, that's all I can say until I find out more. Thanks for bringing it to my attention, as I thought everything was working.
