Our low mount AC kits mount the ac compressor down low on the passenger side of the engine. These kits do not require the use of an electric fuel pump, so you can still use your factory mounted pump. These kits use the sanden 508 series compressor and not a factory unit. In this kit we still integrate the 120 amp factory nippendenso alternator from the magnum trucks as well as the same light weight power steering pump found on new mopar engines.

Big block $800.00

Billet Pulley Kit $320.00

Anodizing $100.00

These kits are designed to use modern components to update your muscle car or custom installation. We realize that most people these days want to run electric fans, electric fuel pumps, and loud stereo to be heard over your exhaust, modern headlights, efi computers, high energy ignitions etc. The older low amp alternators were marginally up to the task in the good old days, we take advantage of the availability of new components that will easily retrofit into your car. Our system uses a 120 amp alternator doubling the output of the factory 60amp unit.

The majority of our parts come from factory systems, so they have been test and approved for use by major automotive manufacturers. There was no reason to reinvent the wheel when it comes to accessories. Most of the parts can be found coming off a dodge truck between 1994 and 2004. for builders on a budget, you can get the crank and water pump pulleys off these trucks as well as the alternator and ac compressor for the high mount kit. The tensioner we use comes off of a chevy suburban, and the power steering pump and reservoir are off the mid 90s jeeps, although most new cars use these and you can find various reservoir configurations if you look around.

Also with today’s modern muscle car, more and more people are putting the ac back on since it’s a lot easier to produce horsepower with all the aftermarket support and it’s also a lot easier cruising your custom, when you’re not sweating behind the steering wheel. We have opted to use the smaller and lighter sanden ac compressor in our kits.

Finally for the power steering, we decided to use the light weight aluminum units found on most modern dodge cars and trucks. These are available with either on board and remote reservoir depending on the applications.

Our kits also include a spring loaded belt tensioner for ease of install as well as assuring the proper tension on the belt in all situations. Whether drag racing or constant loading and unloading of components the tensioner will make sure your belt stays in place.

Also one of the goals of these kits was to use auto store available parts. So if you’re on the hot rod power tour and lose your power steering or your alternator goes out, you are only a few minutes away from getting back on the road after visiting the closest chain auto parts store. Also one of the things that we strive when designing a kit is ease of maintenance, we here at SDC are hot rodders and have lives outside of work and working on our cars, so its important that when things break down that they can be repaired with the least amount of time and hassle, that just makes owning a classic that much more fun. We hope that with all the effort we are putting in you can spend more time driving and being on the road versus under the hood wrenching.

While you’re at it and customizing your engine compartment why not add some color to your new serpentine kit. We offer black anodizing to help the system blend in better with a more stock appearing approach or go wild and color anodize it. all standard colors available to match your custom engine from blue and red to purple and gold. Colors can be mixed and matched for a truly custom appearance. Price below is for one color. Multiple colors additional cost
