Expert 5K+ Posts: 7453 Location: northern germany | I want the Insect and that little 55 Belvie Coupe, as a home for a build Mopar 383 Big block. Never understood why the 55 Chevy became a legend and not the 55 Plymouth. Both are nicely designed cars.

Expert 5K+ Posts: 7453 Location: northern germany | Speaking of Big Blocks in 55 Plymouths, as they thourougly tested the Big Block in 55/56 on public roads before introduction in 57, they must have put them in 55-56 production cars. Must have been fun to be a test driver for Chrysler back then.

I didn't use Facebook until very recently, but it seems like I could view things in their "marketplace" without signing up. Does anyone know how to address this? As I remember, I think you could view the Facebook Marketplace for a limited amount of time withouth signing up. You may be able to visit the Facebook Marketplace website and do a search for a particular vehicle in a specific location and be able to view anyone of the listed cars above. I don't like how when I click on one of the Facebook links above, it doesn't open a new tab and I have to hit the "back" arrow to get back to the FL website.

I'm kinda glad the 55 Plymouth wasn't a legend (although it is an awesome car). I like the underdog!

Expert Posts: 1289 | Mickey, my boyo -- That '57 Fury shouldn't have a 727 TorqeFlite as that trans wasn't around until 1962. But from the photos, shift buttons do seem to indicate the proper 904. The car does look pretty good and I truly believe the '57 Fury is much better looking than my BTB. I'd be interested in it if I weren't in the process of downsizing and peddling perhaps my 300C.
