Nothing wrong with a beater!

I wish mine was driveable, working on getting it to Tulsa (still). But the dust and cat prints - I'll kill it if I find it! - tell the tale.

The story on this wagon is great, 6 cyl manual trans, steering, and brakes no radio no cigarette lighter never had a side mirror (first rule in hauling old Mopars, whats behind you doesn't matter) I geuss the two tone treatment was the only option unless the heater was optional. Best part- sold new in TUSLA 49 Years ago and proably hasn't been washed since. Metal dealer script says Cox Motors Tulsa. The Title I got was from May 1958 probably the original owner although it was just signed and transferred, the guy I bought it from was not a registered owner. And yes it ran when I got it but has had a lot of work done on the chassis since -all new brakes (second rule of hauling old Mopars, brakes don't do nuthin but slow you down) engine rebuilt and not original, had to upgrade to V8 for towing which bolted right up to original trans. Interior is rough but the wife has rode in it a couple times. Wagon is known in these parts as RUSTY. The front clip I thought might have been replaced but upon closer inspection just appears to have lost the original paint at a faster pace. If the Buried Plymouth is any worse than this they should have just let it sit in the courthouse parking lot!

And, the heater WAS 'optional'....should be special-coded, right-there, on its Paint/Trim plate.

It hums all by itself I bought a set of rare 50s mufflers called Golden Sonotones. It's like flying in a Sopwith Camel ( however you spell that) there is no headliner and it resonates like a gigantic tin can. Nobody can stand it very long but me. I am used to rough and tumble from chain saws to air compressors, my wife sleeps with a baseball bat ... thats to wake me up if something happens.
