Expert Posts: 4042 Location: Connecticut | Neil - I'm gonna stick with the Hampton Inn. The price is $20 less per nite. So if I'm there for five nights, that's a savings of $100. Considering the high price of airline tix, I need to save every $ I can. Ron

Posts: 19146 Location: bishop, ca | Ms. Mayhue, at the 'Tree, won't disclose the actual number of "Forwardlook" reservations--dunno why, tho. A SWAG was presented on an earlier thread-page, though. Suffice it to say that there will be a FEW of us, there. As I had written early-on, if this event is not of interest, to a FWDLK'er, "he" can always wait, until, the NEXT buried FWDLK'er is un-earthed....from a time capsule. BUT, there reportedly IS another Buried Plymmie, so maybe they'll want to wait another 45 years for the PROWLER to be un-earthed.

Exner Expert 19,174 posts. Neil passed away 18 Sep 2015. You will be missed, Neil! Posts: 19146 Location: bishop, ca | [This thread looked so lonely, down there, at the bottom of the Board] : I just re-read the messages, & 'something' jumped-out @ me: In an early message (6/22/06), the 'Tree reported that there were ONLY "265" Room-nites available to us, in the entire Hotel. Then, on 11/29/06, I reported that the 'Tree had reserved 231 (!!!) Room-Nites, to date, for people who had room-rerserved, under the 'Code' : Forwardlook, or, "FOR", and that, as of 11/29, very few available rooms still existed. SO, 'discounting the reservations which were not recorded under Forwardlook, or FOR, it appears that a LOT of Mope-Folks (ahem) have reserved rooms, at the Tree, altho the 'Tree will not confirm how MANY people make-up the "Room-Nites" (or, more-importantly: how many CARS are represented, in those "265" -available room-nites!!!!??? But, there SHOULD be a "bunch" !!!

Expert Posts: 1363 Location: Apeldoorn, Netherlands | Due to something that came up unexpected, I regretfully cannot be at the unearthing. Before I cancel my room reservation at the Doubletree, I thought I might offer it here. Or should I put it on eBay? LOL! It’s a high floor, non-smoking room with 2 double beds, from June 12 until 17th.
