Veteran Posts: 159 Location: Rittman, Ohio (Near Akron) | Not cheap, but the best chrome plating work I've seen. The bumper I had them rechrome was done in their factory finish, but it looked better than most people's show finish when I got it back. http://www.customchromeplating.com/ Edited by munja 2006-05-30 6:22 PM

Veteran Posts: 259 Location: Detroit MI area | I'm starting to research chrome places for my car. Its been years since I had any of this work done. Don't want to be nosey enough to ask the exact price, but can you give us a price range for the part? Thanks, Jim

Wise Old Village Idiot Posts: 3591 Location: Dellslow, West ("By God") Virginia ! | I had some plating done there, back in the late '70's Perfect! Prices were a little cheaper than Paul's, up above Pittsburgh. Problem was, Grafton was a speed trap town. The guy at Custom Plating, even told me over the phone. Drive the speed limit, or BELOW. For they give out tickets for 1 mile over the limit!

Veteran Posts: 159 Location: Rittman, Ohio (Near Akron) | It cost me about $800 bucks to get my 59 bumper chromed. It was very warped and rusted. Edited by munja 2006-06-03 4:29 PM

Expert ,, George Passed away July 28th 2021, He will be Missed Posts: 1295 Location: Twin Falls, Idaho | I have to agree on the quality for the most part.... especially on pot metal parts. The only problem I have with them is the time it takes to get the pot metal done. My experience has been a minumum of about 16 weeks and as long as 24 weeks. I have recently been using Sihiling Plating in Santa Ana CA. Price is about the same as Custom Chrome Plating but the turn around on pot metal has been 3 to 4 weeks..... excellent work so far. I also had Custom Chrome Plating restore 4 1958 FARGO hubcaps and the job they did was beyond my wildest expectations...... absolutely superb!!

They have some estimates online... Don't know what the shipping cost would be... http://www.thebumpershop.com/TheBumperShop/PartsSelect4.asp?SearchM...
