Expert 5K+ Posts: 7808 Location: Williams California | Whether to keep this car together and sell for a builder, or put it in the yard for parts. I could not make up my own mind on this one, so you folks are to be the judge and jury. The car is a '62 Chrysler 300, but equipped with a factory three speed on the floor. The transmission, bellhousing and driveline all currently reside in the trunk, and it is unknown at this time exactly why. The lower quarters have rust out in front of the rear wheels, as do a portion of the interior floorboards. The trunk lid also has some rust, and the hood is bent at one hinge. The windshield is cracked, but the rest of the glass seems OK. I am not into this car for a lot of money, as I bought it along with 5 other cars as a package deal. Here are some pictures to give you a better idea. ---John ('62 Chrysler 300 3-speed 001.jpg) ('62 Chrysler 300 3-speed 002.jpg) ('62 Chrysler 300 3-speed 003.jpg) ('62 Chrysler 300 3-speed 004.jpg) ('62 Chrysler 300 3-speed 005.jpg) Attachments ---------------- '62 Chrysler 300 3-speed 001.jpg (52KB - 90 downloads) '62 Chrysler 300 3-speed 002.jpg (54KB - 89 downloads) '62 Chrysler 300 3-speed 003.jpg (62KB - 85 downloads) '62 Chrysler 300 3-speed 004.jpg (57KB - 91 downloads) '62 Chrysler 300 3-speed 005.jpg (66KB - 83 downloads)

Veteran Posts: 249 Location: Spencerport, New York | I think a 300 with the factory 3 speed stick must be very rare,as they were not even very common in Newports. Really ought to be restored. Dick

I agree, that one needs to be saved. Shes in a hellulalot better shape than mine was, and the fact that she's a 2 door hardtop as well - fins or no fins, someboby out there's gotta bring her back to life.

Elite Veteran Posts: 750 Location: kansas city, mo. | john, i say keep it. those rear quarters are freakin' awesome. the shape of those quarters are just perfect. they are truly beautiful cars. i have had my eye on an original 62 880 4 door sedan here locally and fell in love with it and the 62 chrysler. so much so, i started a thread recently about wether the 62 880s should be included in the forwardlook category. you gotta keep it john. if nothing else, put it under cover and keep it dry for me!. you'll come around. mike in k.c. Expert 5K+ Posts: 7808 Location: Williams California | Thanks for helping me make a decision on this car. I'll keep her together and hopefully, someone will come along that will be interested in restoring her. I'd consider it myself, but I have far too many projects, and way too little time to get them completed. ---John
