Location: Seville, OH | I recently bought an NOS Chrysler marine AFB. The list number is only a few numbers off from my passenger car AFB and externally it looks identical. Is there any significant differences between a marine carb and a passenger car carb. I assume there are jetting differences.

Location: The not-so-great, dirty-white North ( Michigan) | Marine carbs generally have the vents situated in sucg a way that if the float or needle and seat fail open, the fuel dumps INTO the mainfold, and not outside of the engine. That and there could be some detail machining to accept flame/spark arrestors.
There will be no side drilled vent holes in the airhorns that could allow vapor to escape into the bilge.... |

Location: Seville, OH | Other than flooding the engine if a float stuck, can a marine carb be used safely on a passenger car application? Or do I need to start looking for the rest of the boat to justify buying this thing?! |

It is NOT the case to do the reverse, unless you want a fine from the USCG!!!!! |
