This info probably should get posted on the General Discussion Board, but
I have it on good authority that the specialized water hose spring-clamp wrenches
that virtually all of us need are available from the Harbor Freight company.

I learned from the guy who got me my set of hose clamp wrenches, a few years ago,
that he had bought them from Harbor Freight.

Mine even have a great ratchet-lock on them, so that once you take your compressed
grip on a hose clamp, the wrench's arms stay locked-down on the clamp, so you can
easily maneuver the clamp along the hose without having to maintain your grip on the
spring-clamp's wire ends.

Now, whether those clamps are STILL sold by Harbor Freight, I don't know, but I gotta
believe that they're still available.

Harbor Freight may also sell "our" unique door handle removal tools, too .

Another possibility for the hose clamp wrench is an appliance parts store. For years washers have used similar clamps to what came stock on earlier cars than todays. There are at least 2 kinds. One looks like a pair of pliers with notches on the ends and notches on the sides. The other one has a round head with, I believe, 4 heads. I think I've got a couple of pair hanging around. I'll see if I can't find them. They don't clamp in place, but they're better than pliers or channel locks.

I found 3 pairs of the Corbin clamp pliers at a tool vendor at a car show, 5.00 each.

Yeah :"Corbin clamps".....I tell you, though; a locking-ratchet system on those pliers is the greatest thing since
"sliced bread" !
