Location: Newcastle, NSW AUSTRALIA | Hi All,
I'm a new Forward Look owner I have purchased a 1960 Plymouth Fury sedan
It's a 318 poly with 3 speed push button auto.
It has a few issues but I hope to get them sorted out & get her on the road soon.
I have some question about these great cars as I have been an A body boy for years
I'm not familiar with these cool rides.
Great forum full of good info for me to read & learn

Not to many of these plymouths here, but they do seem to come out of the woodwork every so often
Lots of really cool stuff to spend lots of money on for these cars as well
Love to see some pictures of it
Not sure if that was the one that sold from over here recently?

Location: Newcastle, NSW AUSTRALIA | Hi Guy's,
Thanks for the warm welcome
It's coming from Toodyay WA as soon as the guy gets it drivable enough to load it on a transporter. I'm located in Newcastle NSW couldn't be any further away & still be on the same island.
I have been looking at getting a 60 model sedan this one just happen to come along at the right time.
Were do I find the really cool stuff ?
although the main thing I need to do is sort out the starter/ring gear
I will post pic's soon car is the 1 in my avatar
Cheers Graham

The guy said you were in Queensland
Anyway, this is how close you were to missing out on it

I am glad it went to someone that really wants it
The cool stuff mostly turns up on ebay, but I suggest the first things to get are a workshop manual and a parts manual
The workshop manual I got was on CD and wasnt that pricey, the parts manual came from the Chrysler 300 club website (I think) and was free
The ring gear is staked onto the torque converter (these cars dont have a flex plate), but your problem is most likely going to be in the starter
The starter pinion is an inertia type and may just need a good spray with wd40 or similar
If you activate the starter out of the car, the drive assembly will stay out in the "engaged" position, it normally gets thrown back out by engine rpm (starter over speed)
If you need help with it while its still on my side of the "Island", send me a PM and I will see what I can do
You must be hanging to see it in person
