Subject: Removing headlight switch knob

Location: Phoenix, AZ		I am trying to remove the knob and shaft from my 59 Plymouth headlight switch and can't get it out.  I have tried pushing the release button on the switch and squirted WD40 on it and still no luck.  Are there any other tricks to get it to release?   Thanks

Location: Chestertown, NY ( near Lake George)		Push the knob in first, push the button down then pull it out.

Shep, I finally had a chance yesterday to try your advice and the knob and stem came right out!  I must have spent an hour looking in the manual and trying every trick I could think of, but never tried your combination.  Thanks for the help!!:cool:
