Location: Farmingdale NJ | I dont know the exact color on my 56 Dodge, but it seams a bit on the gold side, not silver, and it is original. |

Location: Blythewood, SC | According to the Plymouth Owner's Club, Bill Hirsch Aluminum is a dead on replica. I used it on the Nasty Flattie and it looks great. It lasts great as well. |

Location: Farmingdale NJ | You know what? I pulled the flathead out this past weekend and powerwashed it outside yesterday. I said the paint looked gold, but in fact your right, where the paint wasnt affected by heat or oils it is a bright silver!! sorry about that earlier post. If you look at the "parts for sale" forum I have pics posted of the '56 Dodge Flathead. You can see the color fairly well on the trans. |

| Yes, I think that gold color is cooked oil maybe! I am giving my flat head to a friend restoring a 56 Dodge truck and he wants it stock and correct so I am helping with some of the research to try and find the right paint color. It was a meant to be deal, we found this truck that is complete except for the engine, and I had two engines left over from my project that are identical to the factory truck one. |
