Hello all,

Anybody know if a 1958 318 intake manifold will filt on a 1957 301 engine, or are the block and heads completely different?

If the engine (310) is a "closed valley" type, like the 318, it will fit.
Possible that the port sizes might be detailly different, but as for bolting up, its a GO!

Block, heads, and intake are interchangable. 301 had a shorter stroke crank (same as 277). I know that you can up compression by putting 277 heads on a 318 due to its smaller combustion chamber (smaller valves, though). I don't know about the 301 heads.
