hemmings classic car magizine had a neat story about a Fury junior power car. i went to the clubs site and found they also made a Desoto model.

A couple of corrections.

1. There is not a club website, The site listed is mine and is just an information site but I do offer forums for exchange of information and I make replacement parts for them

2. The Desoto Firemite was not made by Powercar They had them in vacuum formed polystyrene bodies that proved to be too brittle to take the abuse and then Roble made a fiberglass bodied version. My car is a plastic body and has suffered at the hands of it's juvenile drivers but is mostly complete so I can rebuild it.

the black fiberglass body is the Robel version and you can see it is missing some of the detail of the original. The bumpers, headlights. taillights are formed as part of the body and the trunk lid was only a portion of the full lid used on the plastic bodies
