I'll bet you enjoy watching all the heads turn when you go "cruzin" by. Nice nice car.

That's massive rear quarters! Looks like a car wet dream! What's that colour combo called?

Thanks for the nice comments.
The light blue is "Stardust Blue" The other is "Mediterranean Blue" I hope I spelled it right.
I do enjoy it. This was the bottom of the line for chrysler. the only Power assist is the Brakes and Steering. You have to wind your own window up in this one.JB

Wow(ii) ! ; as well as the 56's were built, it's surprising that more convertibles aren't readily seen.

I can't remember the last time I saw a 56 Windsor convertible in person, let alone in a photo.

Stunning beauty! I would love to cruise along the waterfront in a 'vert like this. Something to dream of now when we're getting close to cocooning in the garage during the cold and dark part of the year.

Well you know what they say...... Where there is one there is aways another to be seen.
This is a picture of our 56 Windsor convertible. We have owned it for 44 years. This was my highschool graduation present from my parents. We had her out for our wedding in 1972 and then she went into storage fro 25 years while we raised our family. After spending a winter in my father's garage, and alot of hard work she is back on the road. She is a favourite car for us to take to our local car shows. She really is a show stopper!!!
She is part of our family and will never be sold!!! We could never part with her. Too many great memories.

Glad to hear my Windsor has a twin. I was told that less than 1050 '56 Windsor convertibles were produced.{ I forget the exact number} I would like to know the survival rate, But don't have any idea how to find out.
I did forget to mention earlier, that this has the power pack option [ 4 barrell carb and dual exhaust ] and is rated at 250 hp. I imagine your's is a low milage car. Mine has 93000 on it. The engine has been recently overhauled.

John, your Chysler is incredible. What a beautiful bodystyle, the colors and wheels really set it apart. Amazing..

There are a few sites that say a standard attrition rate for cars is 8%. At that rate, there would only be 12.6 survivors in 2009. She's rare for sure!
