I believe that until the Ramchargers got involved the single carb. 413 was rated at 340 HP. It is on a 1964 Dodge 440. In 1965 the police pursuit 413 engine was rated at 365 H.P.. I prolly shouldn't have posted here as it is not FL related, but some of my friends that are intertested in this project do not hang out in the Nether region. I will be posting the story behind these pics and more pics of the whole car ......................................MO

Expert 5K+ Posts: 5139 Location: cornpatch county, Southwest IOA | OK, here is the story and some pics to explain my project. If you don't want to see it, it is real easy to scroll past it....................................MO OK, it has been some time since an up-date on Brutus., But it has been worth it to me. 2nd time getting the body and paint done right I got a great deal on that work plus a little more from Heartland Auto Body. They have been enthusiastic about this job, but I needed to give them slack to make their location change and get some Insurance work done. I have been farmiong out work that I didn't want to do anymore. Installing rear quarter windows regulators, finishing up the exhaust, installing sound deadner and insulation, and some other small stuff. Reason for the Thunderbolt hood and the non- existant 413 Police Pursuite valve cover decals that I designed.: My goal is to build a Street and Strip car like I would have done it in the mid 60's. Many people loved the Thunderbolt hood bubbles. They were sold by all the Speed parts catalogs and Speed shops. There used to be a lot of them on all brands of cars. I needed room for The fresh air ram induction hoses and air cleaner. Also, the rear openings allow hot air to exit the engine compartment. Air inlets from the inside headlights was a common sight on the drag strips. Cop engines were a popular way to get high performance at a low cost and were available from State equipment auctions. However , they were painted the same as all the other engines and had no Police Pursuite decals on the valve covers. Instead of a car like a million, I want a car--one in a million...8-) .. ( remember my 56 Chrysler?) There will be more era correct goodies before all is done. BTW it has a A833 four speed with the correct long handle Hurst shifter. The front wheels are Fenton's that were only made for 2-3 years in the mid 60's. I rejuvinated them myself. .......................................MO (IMG_9592.JPG) (IMG_9589.JPG) (IMG_9582.JPG) (IMG_9583.JPG) (IMG_20151014_163411282.jpg) (IMG_20151014_163432848.jpg) Attachments ---------------- IMG_9592.JPG (45KB - 179 downloads) IMG_9589.JPG (47KB - 169 downloads) IMG_9582.JPG (58KB - 176 downloads) IMG_9583.JPG (60KB - 170 downloads) IMG_20151014_163411282.jpg (454KB - 209 downloads) IMG_20151014_163432848.jpg (438KB - 168 downloads)

Expert 5K+ Posts: 5139 Location: cornpatch county, Southwest IOA | Shep - 2015-12-01 2:46 PM Thanks for the comp. But my intentions was NOT to look like 95% of all the other B body Mopars. Their scoops are cool compared to any others, but IMO--see hundreds--seen them all. I am playing to the folks that want to see something different---Old Skool--the way I want it....................................MOOnly comment, I would have used a more genuine Ramcharger scoop, cool car.

I am anxious to drop the hammer on it. I would be happy with high 12's. I don't have much money in this engine. Thanks for the comps....................................MOI'm digging it. Expert 5K+ Posts: 5139 Location: cornpatch county, Southwest IOA | Hay Don, I have seen other mid 60's hot rods down there. I intend to show up and see if they will let it in. I intend to make several shows next year. Health and money dictates what I will do these days. You might let me know of any other in-formal hot rod shows comeing up in K.C. I would rather hang with the Rat Rod and old skool crowd..............................................MO
