Location: Some Island called Prince Edward | We have an older Italian fellow who runs the little cafeteria at the dealership I work at. He comes up to me today and says "I hear you have old cars". I said "Yes, why?". He says "I have an old car that I need a valuation for insurance". Well, long story short, it turns out to be a 57 Dodge Custom Royal 2 door hardtop with something like 22000 original miles! He bought it in 1973 with 13000 miles! He said it's two tone white and "pinkish" and has never seen rain. I called my appraiser and we hope to go see it next week. I will certainly bring my camera. There's no chance of it being for sale- he is giving it to his son.

Sounds cool, and given the owner is Italian the trunk may have seen a few stiffs over the years!
All kidding aside, that's really incredible, with such low mileage and it never having seen rain,it sounds like it must be in fantastic condition!

...or the son parks it in a field for the next 25 years so it can rot away. He can't sell it cuz it was dad's pride and joy, but doesn't have room (doesn't make room!) to store it properly. We all have seen that storyline before. |
