Location: bishop, ca | Nice looking car, but its current inflation-adjusted price would be around $25K.
But, even at its $2.5K 1962 asking price, (12/62 Car Life) today, this "merely-a-used" car would calculate to a reasonable $25K-ish
asking price.
No "Collector" car surcharge (-yet) on this 5-year-old, relatively readily-available, car.
What would this car have cost, brand new?
$6.5K?

Location: Houston | So a 5 year old car being sold for about 40% of it's original price? Pretty reasonable. Plus, if you believe what you hear, a finned car by 62 was passe'.
But either way, if I could go back in time I'd buy it then drive it over to warn Kennedy what was a-comin' his way. Then I'd buy a mess of IBM stock. |

Location: bishop, ca | Check its OEM door alignment; it was 'just' another car, back then.
All clear-glass in it, too.

Location: Houston | My father used to claim that if you ordered a black car they took extra car with it in terms of fit and finish cuz black would show all the problems. I have no idea if that was true or not. I never asked him about Tahitian Coral. |

Location: Chicago | Dude must have been looking at 1958 info. Tahitian Coral is a '58 color. This was probably Gauguin Red. Also, '57s were 375-hp and '58s were 380-hp. So, people were already screwing up letter car history back then.
