Expert Posts: 1488 Location: New Castle PA | Was at the "3D picnic" yesterday, in Chagrin Falls Ohio. (That's Delightful, Delovely, DeSoto...) Here's a pic of Leon Haddix's '57 Firesweep (it's for sale), Pat Caffey's '57 Fireflite, and my '57 Adventurer. Sharp eyes will also see John Nosol's red '58 behind us. As always, it was a great day, despite a half-hour of rain shortly after our arrival. Location: Parts Unknown | Was that 57 Fireflite an original blackwall car with no bumper guards ? Would be a VERY unusual set up.

Expert Posts: 1488 Location: New Castle PA | Doc, I don't know about the original blackwall setup (or not) on the Fireflite. Current owner likes the blackwall look, and the look of those (incorrect for 1957 DeSoto) wheelcovers. Jessica, I remember when you attended that picnic. It was VERY nice to meet you. You came a long way to be there, and that meant a lot to all of us. Thanks, Big M, for the nice comment!

Expert Posts: 1488 Location: New Castle PA | BTW, I remember someone in a post wondering if "Bob Terpak" was a fictional name -- someone trying to cheat a member here -- a scammer. I said that I KNEW Bob and he was very real. In the picture above, Bob is the guy wearing the cap!

Elite Veteran Posts: 1053 Location: Ny | I'd love for the opportunity to attend another 3D picnic. It was well worth the drive to meet all of the nice, helpful people I had been talking with, and getting to see their great cars. Beautiful location, too.

Expert Posts: 1488 Location: New Castle PA | Geoff! I'd have given you picture credit, too, but I guess I was focused on the "scammer" thing with Bob. Always a pleasure to see you, and glad you (apparently) made it back OK!

Me, I'm a one-dimensional cardboard cut-out image of nothing in particular.
