I got your attention, didn't I!

Just by accident I saw this documentary filmed on 1961 in Somero. Few interesting FL-cars, maybe one of them even survived...? All standing in front of "Someron Autotilaus", name suggests they perhaps imported cars to Finland?

If now, almost 50 years later we think about it - people drove these cars on gravel roads, chrome covered in dust, listening the AM radio... It was a classic thing to go dancing every Friday or Saturday (live music!!), surrounded by beautiful clean nature. Those were cool times...

Anyway, part of Finnish history...  If you didn't notice, it really wasn't a car show :D

If you were lucky (or unlucky depending of case) you could get a Checker cab, although I suspect those were already gone or in the bigger cities. The condition of those Checker cabs varied a lot. But propably you got only a small euro-cab from this company. Today 2010 you find a girl from a bar, drive her home with your car, and in worst case she might say "no", but you can live wih that. Imagine some gray beards told me in older days they few times cycled 20-30km's to bring a girl to home and got rejected. That eats a man...

But, that was a nice line of cars, huh?!
