Hey All! Im currently on the vergge of getting the Plymouth ready fo paint and am trying to decide on a shade. I would like to stay with colors that would have been available from the factory even if not the ones that the car rolled off the line with. I originally planned to go with toreador red but after having seen a 58 in it, i was kind o turned off by how bright it was, then i discovered the Royal Red color option that i hadnt noticed before, my problem is that I found a picture of an 1958 desoto that supposedly is all original, retaining its original Holly Red (Royal Red for plymouth). I really like the color on the car but when compaired to the paint chips i have seen, the desoto seems much brighter. Does anyone have an example of this color Royal Red? Aka Holly red for 58 desotoand ruby red for 1958 dodges
Thanks! mike |

I dont think the shade of red would insulate you from it, might actually invite comments of "Christine wasnt that red, you got it wrong"
Your car, your decision
I do like them in red though
