Location: Heaven Above (Formerly Oklahoma City,OK) | Wondering if anyone else has faced/addressed this issue? In the original wiring of my '55CRL, there is one (1) signal light on the face of the speedo for the turn signals.
I'm using an aftermarket wiring harness. It's made for two (2) on dash turnsignal indicator lites. As I reason it out, hooking the instrument panel wires from the a/market harness would result in operating all four signal lights regardless which way the the operator wants the lights to signal. Can the a/market wiring be made to function with only one indicator lite? Or will I need to use two(2) non-original lites, as it appears I must?
Any suggestions will be welcomed with open mind! ! ! ! ! ! LOL :

Location: Springville, CA | Couldn't you hook the indicator light to the output of the flasher? This SHOULD work, as the flasher output is simply routed by the turn signal switch.

Location: Heaven Above (Formerly Oklahoma City,OK) | Thanks for the idea. If I delete the two leads to what should be instrument panel left and right indicator lights, and hook the flasher output to the existing light, I'll be able to know that a turnsignal is flashing. Thanks Loyd. |
