Hello all. New to the mopars so bear with me. I saved this Polara from further neglect as it was way too clean for the last owner to let it sit. I apologize because I cannot post pictures from my phone to here because the new puppy chewed the laptop cord! You can see ad on Denver's craigslist under 1961 polara. What I know is car was sold in st petersburg FL then moved around. 73-2000 lived its life in Cheyenne WY. In 1999 the car went off road and smashed fender. Car was sold at a car lot then parked outside until I got it(still outside but cared for). Car has all documents since new. Car has Zero rust out. Some surface spots in trunk but NO holes NO where. 383 2bl 3speed push button. Power windows, A/C. I rebuilt the carb but don't like the backwards acc pump stromb. Car runs drives stops. Engine just stuck a lifter on me but I'm gonna try and get it free before it wipes out the cam. Interior is fair for being sun beat for 10 years. Dash is wrinkled and seat vinyl is crusty but usable for now. Needs right fender and bumper straightened and a few pieces of trim. Almost forgot its in need of freeze plugs too. Anyway this would be a Very EASY restoration if parts were found since it is 98% intact, rust free, and semi-driveable. Update! Car is now in running driving stopping condition. Also i have leads for fender and missing trim. just pulled off the farm. this car is 99% rust free and not a single mouse in the car! has been sitting for some time but aged well outside without destroying everything. worst part of car is smashed right fender, broken taillight, dashpad, and missing a few pieces of trim on the right side. engine fired up on the third crank did move back and forth. didn't drive anymore than that until brakes are in working order. the interior looks great for sitting so long. the only other cars similar to this for sale in the country are 2 hardtop 4drs in California and they are in same basic shape but priced at 4500. also this car has all the options of power windows and air conditioning which you don't see that much. i have all the service and other documents for the car since it was new and has only had an alternator replaced and steering box adjustment in 1973! i have all the title work but has been out of the system long enough and came from WY that i have to try and sort out. i am going to continue to work on this car while i have it and the more work i do the price is going up as parts are very hard and expensive. also any leads on a good fender would be appreciated. thanks 970-518-6754. Yep that's the one. Thanks for posting that for me. Current price was a ballpark comparison of what I saw out there. Anyone interested needs to make reasonable offer and I'll probably ship down the road. There are a few other minor issues to make a perfect car. I build cars for a living and have too many other projects to finish before mama gets mad! Thanks!
