Hello

I'v seen that here are some people who knows almost everything so I'd like to ask
my cars options:

Car is a total wreck Dodge Phoenix 1960 4d ht.

4302177xxx and I know what this vin means but what about the options:

SO0315 this I know, march 15
Number 9115 ?
Body 434 this I know, 6 syl, Phoenix 4dht
TRM 162 ? I think it has been cloth and vinyl, brown and grey but which number means which?
PNT UU1, there is a confusion because in some charts there is no U year 1960 only Y, but this is definitely UU and it has been some brown metal

and the most important option codes
D3
N8
Q1
Y4
I have no idea what these means but I liked to know.

Car is a Phoenix with almost none options.
6-syl with standard transmission, no power brakes, no power steering etc.
High rear window there is but that I think it is in every 4dht car.

Sorry for my poor english. I am from Finland and there could be some mistakes.

Hope someone could help.

Regards

Jaska; here's some information on your car: TRM 162 confirms: 1:Dart; 6: Phoenix cloth & Vinyl;
2: Copper/tan scheme.

The paint code "U" pertains to "Cocoa Poly (metallic)"

The complete BDY decoding is 4: 6-cylinder ; 3: Phoenix/Polara ; 4: 4-dr hardtop

The 9115 is the 9,115th Phoenix/Polara built, to date, at that assembly plant.

The N:8 is undercoating, the Y:4 is its Delivery Route (truck), the Q:1 is its manual trannie

I'm still researching that D:3 option; it probably is for Tinted Glass, right?

Number 9115 ?

You have one group there - SO NUMBER - 0315 9115

SO NUMBER is Shipping Order Number where -
0315 - Scheduled Build Date - March 15, 1960
9115 - Production that day (0315) The "9" had something to do with model / body and 115 is the 115th of that body /model built that day. I have seen "9" before, on an export vehicle. Does yours have a kilo speedo or miles?

The last six digits of the serial number forms the sequential production number with the first vehicle built being 100001. Thus if the last six digits lists as 189456, the car would be the 89,456th car built at that assembly plant.

The first part of the serial number is 430 where "4" is Dodge Dart 6, "3" is Phoenix and "0" is 1960. Next would be the digit for the assembly plant.

Thank you for this information.
It was nice to see that these can be solved.

Door windows are normal glass and windshield and rear windows are not original so I dont know if that tinted glass is ok.
My car is with kilometer speedo so that number 9 could be that.
Alltogether 2 of these Phoenix 4dht cars was imported to Finland year 1960 and this is another of those. That another
is with 318 cid motor and automatic transmission and many more options.
Perhaps approx. 30 Darts were then imported to Finland, most of all Senecas, but some Pioneers and Phoenix.

Can you tell if this Phoenix is not so common because I have never noticed another Phoenix 4dht with 6-syl and standard transmission.
Some has been 6-syl but all with automatic and they have been in some announcements in USA.

Regards
