Veteran Posts: 198 Location: Bornholm / Denmark | - To someone who has used AAJ disc.kit on 57-58 hemi car. 1957 DeSoto.. I am just to swap my drums to disc's from AAJ, - and the master Cyl. too. But the "Chevy" one in the kit from AAJ seems too big, - not to get the space it needs from the valve covers..?? Has anyone actually swaped to dual MC, and would it fit.??? Got pics..??

Are you saying the MC is a chevy one, from AAJ? I used the kit and the MC on their site is a stock Chrysler/Dodge/Desoto/Plymouth MC. I went with a 67 dart dual and it works fine. The only part from the kit that is chevy are the brake calipers. The one in the kit looks just like mine as well.

Expert 5K+ Posts: 7207 Location: Victoria, BC, on Vancouver Island, Canada | My kit for my 60 Chrysler came with a GM Master cylinder -with a firewall adapter mount - because this MC is slim enough to fit under the oval booster. Apparently he (Roger @AAJ) is using the Dart MC now that has a flat top, for this application, but it probably will need a 1 1/8 bore, if it doesn't your pedal will be low. The use of this GM MC also required me to make a longer push rod because the original would not extend far enough into the bore. Luckily a friend machined up a push rod for me for free. The bottom photo here is the newer style Mopar master cylinder on my former 1962 Chrysler 300. This unit it too high to mount under the oval type boosters. In 1962 Chrysler went to a more modern type of booster with the MC bolted to the front of it. So basically, Roger will tailor the master cylinder needed specifically for your application.
