Just went out and looked at the Sure Grip unit I had in my 3.91 set and found it WAS NOT the "cone load" style, but the original style unit for the 1958-1966 rebuildable, clutch style units. Will be posting pics for those interested in a step by step overhaul if this style unit for a customer. Stay tuned.

I rebuilt my clutch-type Sure-Grip quite a few years ago but don't recall where I got the kit, altho I think it was from one of the ads in a Mopar mag. I reckon I did an ok job, but look forward to your picture posts,, Dukeboy!

I posted this here Neil as I figured there would most certainly be a discussion as members will most certainly discuss what I'm doing/not doing correctly...This one will be a stock type rebuild, but I will "Discuss" the performance modifications that I have learned about in this discussion as well. Just so the members can see how to mod these type rears for more holding power..
