Just got some chrome and stainless trim pieces back from "Paul's" plating in PA and they look FAB!

The chrome work looks great, with nice sharp edges. The stainless pieces look better than new.

Pricey, yes, but darn nice work!

I'll be sending more work their way!

I'll just need a second job.

I'll try to post some pic's when my camera gets over its hissy fit.

Later, Taters.

(not sure why I posted this in the "Members' Rides" forum, but what the heck... )

I think I've mentioned in our PMs that Paul's is among the best... you get what you pay for!

I didn't realize that they did stainless too. I need a few pieces de-dented & polished, but may use a local guy who's highly recommended and very reasonable.

There's chrome under that thar gown!

I don't still have the "before" photos of the rear wheel rock guards, but they were dull and pitted prior to being sent to "Paul's".

The "after" photos show the back side of one of the rock guards, which is also finished very nicely - so were the back sides of the rear bumper extensions.

The "after" photos were taken in a room that is painted green, so there might be a green cast to the photos.

canyouheminow, I liked the work done by "Paul's" because the edges of the chrome are nice and sharp, and not gloppy and rounded, like we've all seen before on some re-chromed pieces done by some other shops.

I also liked the colour of the chrome work done by "Paul's", as it doesn't have that bright silver, "tin foil" look like some modern chrome jobs do.

They also fixed the rusty brackets that were on the back side of the bumper extensions, so some metal work/welding was done prior to the plating, and that work looks good too.

I think you'll like their work if you go ahead and use them for your re-plating.

Yikes, that is bad news, 60 dart! Sorry to hear you had this issue with the bumper. Did "Paul's" offer to help you solve the problem at all?

Something similar must have happened to the lower half of my front bumper (not chromed by "Paul's" - done prior to my getting the car), because it is so much darker, and "grayer" than the rest of the bumper assembly.

(O)

over the course of getting a quote and picking them up it was expressed several times that the parts have a lifetime warranty . i just aint took em back up yet but the point is they should never have got to the point of needing the warranty . their only request to the warranty was to keep em waxed and i did -------------------------------------------------------later
