My original 2 barrel shaft was wore badly and was sucking air and leaking gas all over the intake. After trying to locate an original for 2 months I decided that for my daily driver a 350 cfm Holley 2 barrel was the best way to go. I used an adapter for a Rochester 2 jet to Holley 2 barrel. It was an EASY bolt on and all the vac. outlets are in the same area as the original. The tab that the linkage snaps onto unbolts and went on the holley. If you do this and your throttle blades wont open it's just the adapter needing turned around.( Wasn't paying attention)Thicker part goes toward the front. I had called John at THE CARBURETOR SHOP and wanted him to bush the original carb but he said he was backlogged for a year and a half. I did NOT destroy anything and my original carb can be put back on at anytime. I removed my original metal fuel line from the fuel pump to carb and replaced it with a new metal line I bent myself. Hope this helps someone else with the same problem.
