Posts: 19146 Location: bishop, ca | Whatsup, with the radio speaker grille? --Dave; does 'that' mean that this car really goes WELL, in reverse??? Is that an OEM shifter, too? Expert Posts: 2612 Location: Parts Unknown | UNREAL ABOUT THE RAMS ! ! ! ! And those radio speaker grilles just crumbled away - the heat just destroys them (plastic)

In addition to the car's being slammed (which would give it very little suspension travel---if you drive the car, that is), the tires look to be a little undersized, which would affect the speedo and the odometer's operation. For something under $15K, this car could be well-bought.

Dave S. ok, I've seen a few of these in my time, but what's backwards exactly ? I've been comparing to other pics I have and they look the same.

Expert Posts: 2290 Location: Eastern Iowa | Just what I said, No biggie, they are the same except for the bellcrank portion thats cast into one of them. That casting is also tapped for the location of the vacum anti-stall dash pot (also missing) Notice the plug in the front tube? That's the vacum inlet for the P/B and should be towards the firewall. The 2 bosses he has toward the rear are threaded for the coil mount bracket and should be in front..savvy?? I'm just used to working on mine and seeing them installed properly on 300's. The ram feeding the pass side head should be reversed to feed the driver side head. He musta had to do some mods on the linkage to get it to work right, or then again maybe he had to rig from scratch some of this stuff as most, if not all of it, (linkage etc.) many times is missing on these setups when (if ever) you spot them at swap meets. The usual answer to my inquirys as to the whereabouts of "the rest of it" most likely is answered by "Oh yeah, hell you can make all that stuff" Dave S. Edited by finsruskw 2010-02-23 5:00 PM
