Extreme Veteran Posts: 468 Location: Cushing, Wisconsin | Honestly I'm not sure, I'm trying to buy the black 300k but he won't tell me a price, my opinion is money talks. I think this spring I will offer him $5,000 He says he will sell some of the cars, but he doesn't want anyone trying to make a living off of them. He has quite a studebaker collection as well. Veteran Posts: 166 Location: Nebraska | "He says he will sell some of the cars, but he doesn't want anyone trying to make a living off of them" I hope he does sell to you - I hope its not the same old story - "I am keeping them to restore them someday" then they just rust and sink quietly into the ground....wait....thats what is happening to these beauties As far as making a living off of them - those MoPars will enhance our lives much more than provide a living to anyone. They are not doing anyone any good in that wet environment, some sunk up to the rims in the mud, weeds and plants growing up and into them - these are the kind of collections we need to save...and that Folks, is my Soapbox.

Extreme Veteran Posts: 354 Location: Louisiana | I'm really intrigued by the '58 Firedome 4 dr HT. Macedon and I might be able to use a lot of parts off that car to get ours back on the road. I have relatives in Northern Wisconsin who I really should visit Hmmm... The dry Texas air would be far more friendly to that sheetmetal than sinking into a peat bog. Will you see the owner anytime soon? Any chance for some more pictures before the spring growth covers up these cars again? Edited by Devioussquirrel 2008-02-06 7:49 PM

Elite Veteran Posts: 708 Location: Fredrikstad, Norway. (Europe) | Hi all! This yard is in Cumberland, approx. 10 miles west of Rice Lake, WI. I recognized it immediately viewing these pics. I was there both in 1999 and 2000. What you see on these pictures is just what he keep outside. He let me into a couple of buildings where he had the nice cars. I was told he owned some 140 cars. The black (or I thought it was dark blue) '64 300K I could have real cheap he said. The place look almost the same on these pics as it did when I was there, exept for some more weed now. In his showroom he had 2 '58 Edsels and in his shop he was restoring a Studebaker Lark with supercharger and a very, very beautyful yellow '57 Studebaker Silver Hawk with the original Paxton supercharger that he offered to for 15 grand And also a '56 Chrysler 2 door hardtop. If I find all the pics from back then I'll post them here. The white '60 DeSoto was there too, back then. I can't believe a person that interested in old cars would let cars like this just sit outside to rot. Oh yeah, he gave me a complete trunk lock mechanism for my ex. Plymouth Belvedere all for free. Nice people there back then. Einar. Edited by oldefar 2009-11-08 8:44 PM
