Posts: 19146 Location: bishop, ca | This car might just have the Hemi heads installed onto a Poly block, which means that its c.r. might be very low, or, it might have had a complete Hemi engine installed. I'll ask the seller to confirm the engine's stamping number.

Location: Parts Unknown | Why does it have the Custom Royal quarter trim if it is a Coronet ?

Seller just wrote back to say that the engine number is D631-23706 D631-1xxx is the Coronet 2-bbl/single exhaust engine, IIRC. At any rate, it is not a D500 engine, and the Hemi heads may just have been installed onto a Poly-block, which means that its OEM compression ratio of 8.0:1 may have reduced to 7.5-ish:1 The D500's c.r. is 9.25:1 .
