The US-built 1958 Dodge Kingsway and DeSoto Diplomat models were built at the Plymouth plant on Lynch Road or the Plymouth assembly plant in Evansville, Indiana. Although Plymouths were "P", Dodges were "D", and DeSotos were "S", the Kingsway was "E" in 1958-59 and the Diplomat "F". Except on the serial number.

The Canadian plant built Plymouth-based Dodges for the Canadian market and Kingsway models for export markets, but used "LE1" and "LE2" for the serial number prefix in 1958. Canadian-built DeSoto Diplomats used "LP1" and LP2", just as in the U.S.

Dodge Kingsway models were sold in Hawaii before it became a state, by the way.
