Location: The Mile High City | Wow! All of the sudden, it is raining airport limousines. I like the station wagon conversion, it seems to make more sense than the sedan version.

Expert Posts: 2596 Location: Upplands Väsby, Sweden | Just Where do they come from?:o I'd like to own an ordinary AirPort limo (sedan), but with as many people as you can fit one needs large luggage space, a Stw fit better Is there anyone here who has manufacturing numbers at these Airport limos Edited by Windsor59 2012-09-19 1:51 PM

Location: The Mile High City | Mikey likes it! I do too. My guess is Chrysler would include all of these lumped in with the regular model as a complete knock down that they ship to the builder, like a Memphis Ambulance. However, the makers probably have records of how many they bought and built. This one would have been lumped in with the station wagons, but as a CKD.

Location: The Mile High City | Way to go, Mike! This one looks like it has some nifty roof marker lights. I'm squinting to see if it has a roof rack, but I don't think so. You made out like a bandit on the 1958, so I hope you do as well here! If you have one, why not have two

Expert Posts: 1886 | I hope the seller is realistic on price. Transporting and moving a non running car that is 25' long will be quite a task. I figure transport will be 2k alone. Finding a hauler who will be able to load it, will be a big issue.

Find a transporter whom hauls equipment, they will have a long enough trailer, and usually do it for less money. ---John

He needs your $$$$ more than he needs the possession of his lawn ornament. Edited by d500neil 2012-09-19 8:36 PM

Location: Parts Unknown | When I was a kid, this old crusty perv used to drive around town delivering phone books in a battered old station wagon full of barking dogs. The ass dragging on the ground from the weight of all the paper, he was an institution around our parts. No one paid this guy much attention beyond the fact that he never bathed or changed his clothes, until he got busted doing bad things to kids. Then it came out that he was eating his dogs and living in filth to match his car and appearance. How many dogs and phone books you think you could haul in a car like this ? Career change in order ?

Location: Parts Unknown | My DeSoto is stupidly long. One figures this out when it won't fit in new garages without removing the bumpers, .... or it won't fit at all. I cannot remember the actual length off the top of my head, but something in the 18-20 foot range seems about right. This car has to be about three football fields long, with enough room in the back for a hotdog stand. I am only guessing, but this car may require may require testing, approval, and membership in the brotherhood of locomotive engineers to run. Wow ! I like the wagon back roof much more than the sedan tail. I would end up putting sedan fins on it though !
