I am sure this has already been answered, but here goes. I would like to get all the info on my car as I can possibly get; where was it sold, original owner's name, was it a special order, etc. Since the Chrysler Museum is closing down, I'm not sure they will still offer services. Are there any other sources? Thanks

Well, you start by paying $45bux to the Chrysler Historical Society for a copy of your car's IBM Build card; hopefully
they will be able to provide you with some information on where your car was originally sold.

Sometimes the C.H.S. no longer has your car's dealership records on file.

Unless your car (still-) has a dealership logo-plate on its truck, you may be S.O.L. on ever determining its selling-dealership's I.D.

If you know your car's selling dealership's I.D., you can Google the place and/or check out EvilPay listings for artifacts pertaining
to its existence.

You could, even, search for Town postcard listings, and maybe that dealership will appear in one or more of them.

Also: there are Dodge's in-house newspapers (called, ironically: "Dodge Reporters") which may well have articles on your car's dealership.

I've got 57-58 Dodge Reporters, but the early 57 issues contain stories on the 56'ers and the late 58's on some 59'ers.

Thanks, I'll check it out. I am pretty sure it was sold in High Point, N.C. at Ilderton Dodge, but quite possibly at Gate City in Greensboro, N.C.

Hey Mark, if you find anything for Gate City in 1959 or 1960 I'd love to see/buy it. That's where my car is from, or so I'm told. Also, I'm chomping at the bit to start on my car but with Christmas and school I'll have to wait til spring. I may pick your brain when I'm ready.

I don't remember seeing the "Doering Dodge" dealership in them, but, I can go dig them out & see if they are mentioned/
shown in the 'Reporters'.

I'll also check for Ilderton Dodge and Gate City (the latter name seems familiar, though), but, My Dodge Reporters are only for 57-58.

I was just getting ready to send off for my IBM card and can't access the Chrysler website. Does anyone know how I can reach them?
