Location: NY & VT | I've heard mention of some good CO yards in years gone by, are there any left with FLs in them? I'd think especially out on the plains or the Western sSope some may have survived. Wyoming, W Neb, or W Kansas too might be fertile hunting grounds. Need an excuse to get out of Denver on the next visit! |

Location: Arvada, Colorado (NW Denver Metro Area) | Good question...I think Mike bought most of the FL cars in those area's. There is no single yard that has a lot but a few here and there. Southern Colorado near the New Mexico border is good place to find them. Western Nebraska and Western Kansas come up with some cars every now and then but no specific yard to say. |

That 58 NYer for sale for too much in Canon City awhile back was a nice solid car, but too good to part out, and the ad is gone. Cars like that sometimes end up in yards. I've totally given up on any 'yards E of the Great Plains, nothing but junk. |

Location: NY & VT | I checked with Wayne at Maddox, nice guy, but all he had was the back 1/2 of a '57 rear clip that someone had cut to make into a couch, but never did...grrrrrr. |

Location: NY & VT | oh yeah... he was my first stop. I've bought from him in the past 3-4 times. He had a DeS fender that would require drilling out the tailight insert, not the biggest deal, but it was not in the best of shape either, not bad but not great, sort of a fallback if all else fails. I've located a better one at Don Petty in AZ but it is very pricey. Looks like I may have to pony up if I can't find an alternative, Bo Malefors is working on it for me too. |

Location: NY & VT | The TOP of the fin is actually wavy and the entire lower 1/2 was rivited in from behind when the car was fairly new, it leaked then rusted badly. It could maaybe be fixed but would still be full of putty and new metal . I'd prefer to graft in an entire original fender, big job but the right way to go imo... if I can find the right one. |

Location: Colorful Colorado skier on the license plate | Absolutely there are still great yards in the west, some are top secret for a reason. Being someone raids them there is nothing left for the hobbiest, you end up buying the parts you need from some on on ebay at 1000% plus mark up. Now the yards are even going online and checking ebay prices and adjusting to the new paradigm. Street rodding has suffered the most in the last few years. |

Location: NY & VT | Yes Ricky, and one would hope that true hobbiests would share with their fellow hobbiests who are trying to restore a beloved car, not a professional flipper...and info like that can always be shared by a PM if there's a fear that greedy types might benefit from info posted on a hobbiest website like this, or at least that's what it's supposed to be. |

Location: The Mile High City | Roger, did you call Speedway about that 1958-lookin' Chrysler? I think the only time they are open is Saturday mornings about 10:00 a.m. (mountain time) to 2:00 p.m. That one looked like it might do the trick. |

Location: NY & VT | Mike, been hot on another lead out in Cali that sounds perfect 'cause it's off'n a 58 Windsor, 4 dr hardtop of all things, but if that one doesn't pan out I will check out Speedway for sure, and thanks for the lead. Like to check that place out anyhow, next time we're out. |

Location: Colorful Colorado skier on the license plate | It's sad I had to give up a 58 Windsor 4drht 13 years ago. I lost my storage and wasn't up to another move. I set it out for a friend to pick up and some low rent ripped out the tail lights and damaged the car doing it. it was a nice original complete undamaged car until that happened.
