Expert Posts: 2679 | Cool, glad to see you got the car home. Yeah according to my parts book that trunk emblem is an original D-500 and could easily get $5000 on ebay.... better hold onto it. Iwould use some crazy glue on them seats, thats how I got mine to stop swiveling....

Elite Veteran Posts: 1060 Location: Building incorrect cars since 2000!! | Well the plan is to restore it . I am going to leave the drive train stock just do a once over on the motor maybe a intake and carb. Disc brakes on the front. I really need some sheet metal parts if any one knows where to get them. The chrome will all get done and a repaint in the colors of black and copper. I know thats not a color for that year but it looks bad ass and thats what my wife wants Looks like I have a winter project but not till I finishes the few last things on the 60 Edited by 60 Plymouth 2010-10-24 7:33 AM

Expert 5K+ Posts: 6203 Location: Big pimpin' | Well, Well,Well.....Looks like 'ole Cooter hooked yous up there Cooter III.....I'd weld those seat tracks as that can't be a factory option...Looks like someone's been monkeying around with the seat tracks and installed some sorta "Caddy" set up...I need to see the data plate please....I don't think that black is the factory color either as I seem to see some grey color poking out from underneath...The interior isn't correct either, I suspect "Cooter" had something to do with this as well...Looks to be the correct engine, but the headliner material should have the little "Hole" pattern instead of the "Rat hole" pattern....I see "Cooter" has removed the factory overspray as well...You should really do the car justice and re-install the factory overspray..The trunk emblem is factory correct, however it is for the 4dr version instead of the 2dr HD TOP version...The 2dr version is mounted closer to the right side...Looks like "Cooter" added the holes in the front bumper..These will need to be welded up as per the original '59 Dodge D500 cars were...The car does however, still retain it's "Batmobile" status..Of course, it would make a nice "Clone" of a true CRL when done...PS: Black and copper are '58 Colors, just FYI... ROFLMAO!!!! Yeah if you want I can get you the correct black and copper paint codes as you would be a fool to use anything else then NOS paint still in the cans from 1959 (PM me I have some and wont let anyone else know) Make sure to paint the engine with the correct paint also and I have air cleaner stickers, also NOS for $9.99 each, limited supply to purists only!! I have a website for NOS material and I know you will have the seats done to factory specs with the factory thread too. Nice ride and dont forget to use leaded gas only!!

Inactive by user's request Location: Las Vegas, Nevada | I can ask some wreck divers I know to visit ships which sank during 1959 so they can check for trapped pockets of air and get you some "correct year" air to fill the tires. K.

Inactive by user's request Location: Las Vegas, Nevada | Get me the build date, Aaron. It has occurred to me that air may have to come from a vessel which sank in late 1958. K.

Elite Veteran Posts: 1060 Location: Building incorrect cars since 2000!! | Well i leave for the day and look what I come back to. I KNOW those colors are from 58!! Maybe this car was a late 58 model I will do my best with the overspray since I clearly screwed it up last time. I am more focused now and have the required effort to undertake the task of correct overspray. John give me a call I need some sheet metal and a hood latch. cooter done used it for his aerostar parts wagon Kenny I will get that build date asap because one of the tires is going flat and I need air now!!!!
