Where do guys send their Plymouth power steering boxes for overhaul?

Also, I'm using a ps pump from a '90 Dodge van; it has the normal 3/8" pressure hose coming out. My ps box however, has a smaller inlet opening,, looks like it may be 1/4" or smaller. Will this cause problems with my original Plymouth ps box? Does the original box require less volume? The car originally had the ps pump mounted to the back of the gen...

Thanks

Can't say about a plymouth box but I've had these guys do several gm boxes and the box on a 64 T-bird. It's possible other places might be cheaper but then there is the shipping.... I use them because they are local to me. Never had a problem with anything from them.

I would say check operating pressure specs between the oe pump and the 90 pump to make sure they are about the same.

Agree - the pressure match is a concern.... if it doesn't match.

I've had http://www.steerandgear.com/ rebuild three boxes for me and upgraded the "feel" in each. Total satisfaction.

Steer & Gear, or Lares Corp...Lares did mine, 10-15 years ago (standard-adjustment) and it's worked perfectly since then.

Maybe find out which has the faster turn-around time, as well as comparative costs.

I echo the Steer & Gear recommendation, and the firmed up response. If you're going to Carlisle this year they'll probably be there. You can save half the shipping by bringing your box; these heavy boxes aren't cheap to ship. The turn-around was reasonable.

I had the PS box from my 1959 Plymouth rebuilt by http://benchworksteering.com/ about 4 years ago and it works great and never leaked a drop. I am using the pump from a 2005 Dodge Viper with no problem. The guys who rebuilt it said the newer pump puts out a little more pressure but that the old pump will have no problem handling it. They were correct. I had to have a custom hose made to fit the two different size fittings.
