Location: Parts Unknown | Anyone on this list know anything about old gas station stuff, specifically powdered soap dispensers ?
I have one for Luron soap. Similar examples are marked Boraxo.
This has a keyed lid to keep wily rascals from stealing the soap or other mischievous hoodlumisms ….
After 3 days of trying, it has defeated my best lock picking attempts. I doubt this lock is very sophisticated,
but it has me beat !
Anyone have one, have a key, know what the key is supposed to look like, or some secret code I might call
out to get it open ???
Thanks in advance.

| is it a round key?
I would think they are probably keyed the same, cut a lock open, make a key |

Location: Parts Unknown | A picture would make this easier, but I'll give a quick description for expediency ....
Imagine a horizontal slot, about 1/16" tall by 5/16" wide. Now imagine this straight
slot with a small upward "dent" in the otherwise straight line. That's it. Pretty simple.
There is no lock cylinder inside the hole. It's more-or-less just the open space of the
soap cavity beyond the hole in the cap. Back inside, about 1.5" is a solid object, that
does not seem to move when pushed.
The cap moves a little, side-to-side, when twisted. But little else moves except the soap
drop actuator that one pushes upward at the bottom of the dispenser to get a "dose" of
soap in one's palm.
Clear as mud ???
