Location: Parts Unknown | They identified it as Jeff Carter's house on the radio ? Has he achieved celebrity status while I've been away ? Regardless, that sucks. He had a cute place if he was still where he was in 1990.

Expert 5K+ Posts: 7807 Location: Williams California | Jeff Carter owns JC restorations, he is a parts supplier and has a restoration company in Seattle. He also rebuilds the electroluminescent clusters, and many other pieces on Chrysler 300's and other Mopars. A really nice, talented guy. ---John

Expert 5K+ Posts: 7207 Location: Victoria, BC, on Vancouver Island, Canada | I've known Jeff for 30 years, he's a great guy and one of the best in the Forward Look hobby for his knowledge and expertise. He's an all around good guy and has been a great help to me on several projects, most recently with my power window regulator in my passenger door. I just sent him a short note of encouragement via Email. We're hoping to see Jeff and Lisa at the WPC Northwest Meet in Wenatchee, WA in July, hopefully they will be able to make it. It would be good therapy for them to take some time away from the mess. I went through a business fire in June 2010 and attended the Northwest Meet later that month, it was just what we needed - to get away for a long weekend with other Mopar people for a lot of fun. It was good therapy. Hopefully Jeff and Lisa will get through this without a lot of heartache, but there will be some, and life experiences are always put in front of us for a reason - we can grow stronger because of them, if we deal with them the right way. Jeff and Lisa spent about 5 years re-modelling the house, and Lisa had a bout with breast cancer during that time as well, so it's been a tough go for them with this now. Location: Parts Unknown | I first met Jeff in the late 70's. He had a 61 DeSoto 4 door and an apartment down near Sand Point. He has built quite a business in all these years since and I have dealt with him both buying and selling. Always on the quiet, humble side. No "Look-at-ME!" with Jeff. I have always had a lot of respect for him and his approach to the old car scene.

Expert Posts: 2196 Location: Muskego, WI | Jeff Carter sold me my 1956 Imperial Coupe donor body that made the restoration of my rusty WI car possible. I was the first person to make an offer on the car and was working on arranging the shipping when another person offered Jeff more money for the car I was in the process of buying but hadn't paid for yet. Jeff said a deal is a deal and I ended up with my car and avoided a bidding war and I'll never forget it, he's a great guy. I wonder if they paid a visit to Gary Goers while they were in Montana?

They were actually at Gary's place helping him out when this happened. As you probably heard, Gary has had a major health / hospital challenge this year with an injured leg, so Jeff and Lisa went over to give him a hand. Edited by imopar380 2013-05-29 11:53 AM

Location: Parts Unknown | That sounds like Jeff. Many, many years ago, my brother and I stumbled upon Jeff's DeSoto parked somewhere. My brother had a bucket of dried gourds for some reason and as a prank we packed the area behind the license plate with them. We did not run into Jeff for a while and totally forgot about it. Then, about 5 years later, in a totally unrelated conversation, Jeff tells this story about "the weirdest thing happened to me once ... " and began explaining about finding those gourds ! I fessed up and we had a good laugh. Somewhere in my junk I have a photo of a very young Mr. Carter when he came to pick up a 61 Windsor coupe from me. If I ever get my shop done, all these old car related photos need to get scanned and shared.
