When I bought my Suburban, it was lowered. Your car is shorter so MAYBE you have less issues? I got hung up several times going over steep bumps so I had to raise it just to drive it daily. Hope yours fairs better?

I was just up to the Finger Lakes last weekend. Always a great place to visit especially if you like breweries and wineries.

Karl.

The 58 Sport Suburban is one very cool ride. That will be awesome looking when done. I know some people don't like red, but it IS the best looking color against all that chrome these beasts had. I had a 60 DeSoto that I painted "Viper Flash Red", it looked excellent against all that polished stainless. It was in the movie "The Sand Lot" for just a few seconds. Great looking car and I always got ALL the attention wherever I went. One of the Forward look members on here bought it a few years ago and still has it. DeSoto lives !!!

These wagons are or will be "Attention Getters" as these are the really true survivors as most were parted out [mechanically] and then went to the crusher. In our quest for the 2 dr Sport Models/HotRods they just didn't have the Go Getter appeal, the stigma of Mom and Dad's old station wagon that took us everywhere were embarrassing moments as young teenagers we all wanted a shiny 2dr.Hdtp ride of some description. So I now view my 57 Dodge Custom Suburban with the same admiration as my D500 and the wagon is most likely a rarer car even through there were thousands produced. Thanks guys for all the time and effort put into retrieving, restoring and reviving the Wagon. Keep up all the great work.

I've been dreaming about forwardlook-wagon for few years and now I finally got the money for it. I'm searching for '57-'58 wagon project. Any for sale?

Hi If you have difficulty finding rear side window glass state side I can put you in touch with someone who has a parts car with the glass up here in Canada

If you are talking about the pink wagon, all the glass is good. I think I'm going to have to fix the rust in the floorboards, rockers and quarters before I try to sell it. Since I do that for a living I can handle fixing it, I was just wanting to make my to do list shorter. I sure could use the space too.
